Shows > YEAR OF FAITH

Pope Benedict XVI called for the Year of Faith to rediscover the journey of faith so as to shed ever clearer light on the joy and renewed enthusiasm of the encounter with Christ. The year began in October 2012 and lasts through November 2013 to coincide with two anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of the beginning of Vatican Council II and the 20th anniversary of the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. All year, CatholicTV will devote a specific time slot to engaging series and documentaries looking at the richness and depth of our Catholic Christian faith.

Tune in CatholicTV all year - Monday at noon, Wednesday at 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. for special Year of Faith programming.

  • "Light of Faith" is a series of lectures to enlighten the Catholic belief. The first week of each month, a new speaker will share their thoughts on the faith. George Weigel and Cardinal Justin Rigali have been featured.
  • Episodes of original CatholicTV programming WOW: The CatholicTV Challenge and School of Faith (SOF) with Frank DeVito have aired.
  • CatholicTV began its Year of Faith programming with the Magnificat Day of Faith.
